The Purpose of Science

Topic: The most important aim of science should be to improve people's lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Science did not appear out of nowhere. It was born from a single need: to make life easier and more livable. From discovering fire to developing machines, every step of science has helped us survive, grow, and live with more comfort. That is why I strongly agree that the most important aim of science is to improve people's lives.

Think of any invention: even if it was made out of curiosity or for business, it still changed our lives. Electricity, the internet, medicine— all of them shaped our world into a better place. Without these, we wouldn't be where we are today. Even the first humans did science when they observed nature and found new ways to survive. The goal has always been the same: to live better.

Not only inventions, but also the explorations we have made can be counted as science. It is part of our nature. Every research we have conducted since the birth of humanity, with the information we have acquired, serves the same purpose: improving human life.

To conclude, I agree with the statement, since the purpose of science is nothing other than to serve us. It is the remedy we need for our success, innovation, passion, and the continuity of the human race.
